  • Please dress comfortably for your pelvic floor therapy session. Your clothing should allow you to move freely for stretches in a variety of positions. Clothing suggestions include: • Stretchable fabrics that are not overly compressive or restrict breath and movement. • Warm socks if you tend to get cold. Our treatment table is heated, and you will always have a sheet for coverage. • Comfortable, supportive shoes such as flats or sneakers for standing/balance activities.

  • Yes, you can still attend therapy during your menstrual cycle. Your period will not prohibit your therapy session, assessments, exams, or treatments. Your comfort is the priority. If you prefer, the session can focus on external treatments only. Many patients find that therapy helps relieve common menstrual symptoms.

  • Our clinic accepts direct payment at the time of service. We also accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Before your first appointment, you will receive a link to register in our clinic portal. Inside the portal, you will have access to your superbills, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan.

  • We are committed to providing trauma-informed care. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. You are always in control of your care. We will never pressure you into exams or treatments you are not comfortable with and will move at a pace that feels right for you. You will never be judged or discriminated against. Your therapist will explain all treatment options so you can make informed decisions. We regularly check in about your comfort and progress and can provide referrals to other providers if additional support is needed.

  • The length and frequency of therapy depend on your symptoms, goals, and progress. Each treatment plan is individualized. Pelvic floor therapy typically includes three phases: 1. Assessment and understanding of symptoms and root causes. 2. Treatment and symptom resolution. 3. Long-term management and prevention of recurrence. Our goal is to help you return to the activities and lifestyle you enjoy.
